Loi Kroh Traditional Thai Massage and Yoga School
Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai
About the school
Loi Kroh has been running since 1998 and occupies a useful middle ground in Chiang Mai: smaller and more hands-on than ITM, more structured and more explicitly technique-focused than the meditative schools. Its calling card is volume of material - the basic course claims over 160 techniques and the advanced levels around 300 - taught in a northern style with a strong emphasis on tool variety: thumbs and palms first, then elbows, then knees and feet as you climb the levels. The school is also one of the better-known places in Thailand to study Reusi Datton, the Thai self-stretching and self-care system, which it teaches across four levels including online options. A hard cap of six students on the basic course is unusually small for a school of this reputation and is the main practical reason to choose it. It suits students who want dense technical content and close correction, and bodyworkers looking to add deep-tissue Thai tools. It suits less well anyone wanting a gentle, meditative introduction.

Accreditation
No Thai government accreditation is stated on the school's own course or professional-course pages. Treat the certificate as a school certificate unless the school confirms ministry registration to you directly in writing. This is a well-established and long-running school with a strong reputation, but reputation and accreditation are different things and the distinction matters if you need the paper for licensing at home.
