Yokthip Traditional Massage and Spa School of Southern Thailand
Koh Samui

Koh Samui
About the school
Koh Samui is not a serious training destination - people come to the island for beaches, not to study Nuad Boran - and Yokthip is the exception that makes training there viable at all. It runs as both a working spa and a school, teaching Thai massage in formats from a one-hour taster up to a 60-hour course, alongside oil massage, facial and spa treatment training. The school reports having trained over 200 domestic and international students across a wide age range, and reviews consistently describe patient instruction, professional delivery and the presence of English-speaking teachers alongside Thai instructors. Its southern-Thailand framing is deliberate: this is not northern Lanna lineage teaching, and it does not pretend to be. It suits people already on Samui for a longer stay, travellers who want a real course rather than a resort activity, and those wanting oil and spa modalities alongside traditional Thai. It suits less well anyone for whom lineage or accreditation is the deciding factor.
